Tanzania
Tea production was brought to Tanzania when it was a colony of Germany during the reign of Wilhelm II. The tea industry did not really start to take off until Tanzania become a colony of England and the founding a British estate between the world wars. Today Tanzania exports eighteen thousand tones of tea per year. Because of the different altitudes present in Tanzania there are many distinct varieties of tea grown, but they are all known for a bright color and brisk flavor which makes then ideal for blending purposes
