Kenya

Kenya is one of Africa 's oldest tea producers dating back to 1903, when Indian tea seeds where planted on a two acre farm. Today, Kenya has sixty nine thousand hectares for tea cultivation. Kenya exports over one hundred and eighty thousand tones of per year which gives it about 18% of the world exports. Kenya is blessed with a equatorial climate which allows for tea growing all year round.

Kenyan teas are known to be very bright and colorful with a red coppery hew and brisk flavor. Kenyan specialty teas are blended into many famous British tea blends.
